> Login to your website editing panel > Click on Edit Text Tab On the 'edit text' tab, you can add and modify the contents of the pages by simply selecting text with the mouse and typing. You can also insert pictures. A number of the icons and options on the toolbar are similar to those found in most word processing software programs. Below are the options that are unique to the magicdust site builder. Starting on the top row from left to right. Hover your mouse over each icon in the site suilder to reveal the name caption. 
Text Style This is a pre-defined set of font styles. You can use these to keep the fonts, colours and sizes of your text consistent across the site. Change the text style for any header or paragraph by selecting your choice from the drop down menu. There may be different style sheets on different areas of the page. Eg One stylesheet selection for body copy and another for a decorative side bar. Font and Font Size In the event you want to deviate from the style sheets provided, you can select a font face an size. It is highly recommended that you stick with the styles created for your look and feel and maintain consistency across the site - this is what keeps a site looking professional. Also big/giant fonts look tacky - steer clear. Bold Italic Underline Use these to highlight certain words or phrases. Once again keep your highlight methos consistent. Paragraph Alignment Use these buttons to align text on the page to either left right, centre or full justify. TIP: Centering text does not look very professional. If you want to move text away from the edge of the page to create a bigger margin - insert an indent or a table where you can control the layout more. Images and Text Wrapping These buttons allow you to wrap text around an image. ie. If you want the text to be next to an image rather than under it click the image once to select it and then click the left or right text wrap. Bullets and Numbers Use these buttons to insert or delete bullets and numbering. Just click the mouse on to the line you want to edit and toggle the button on or off. Indent or Tab Use these buttons to indent a paragraph. One moves the paragraph forward the other back. You can click it a number of times to indent and indent etc. Delete (Red Cross) Use this button to delete an image. Click the image once and click the red cross. Cut, Copy Paste Highlight the text, image or table you want to cut or copy. Click the correct icon. Then click the mouse once on the page where you want to place it. When the icon is in the correct place, click paste. The clipboard is unique to the site editor so you can not copy for the editor and paste into a word doc, if you want to do this you need to publish the page and copy the text from the live site. In some browsers you can copy from the preview site. Import Text Use this button (with the green arrow) to import text from external sources. First copy the info from the word doc etc. and then click the green arrow to import. A window will pop up, do CTRL V and it will paste into the box. Formatting from a word doc will be preserved in most cases. You can copy and paste within pages of the website without importing in most cases. Text Colour Use this button to change the text colour to one of the predefined colours in the palette. Special Characters Insert a symbol such as copyright or trademark into the text Email Form Editing This button is only enabled for email forms. You may change the email address for the form, insert new form fields or change the name of form fields using this button. Create/Edit a Link (The chain icon) To create a hyperlink, you select the text or image you wish to make into a link and press this button. You will then be offered a list of options for the hyperlink. Select the page you wish to link to, or select an external link option. Insert Image (The Mountain Icon) Place the cursor on the line you wish the image to be inserted and click this button. Or you can replace an image by double clicking on the image to open the image organiser. Double clicking on the image is a short cut for pressing this button. The image will be left aligned at first but you may change the alignment using the alignment buttons. To turn off alignment and let the image float within the text, click the depressed alignment button so it is unselected. You can also place images inside tables to control their positioning on a page. Insert a Table Click to insert a new table. If the cursor is positioned within a table, this button is used to modify the existing table. Add, delete or clone rows and columns, create/add table borders and table colours. Tables are very useful for positioning info on a page and also makeing the page look more interesting. Spell Check Click this page to check the spelling. Very helpful for user where english is your second language. (And even first language users will find it helpful!) Edit HTML (Advanced Users Only-This maybe disabled in most site editors) Click to edit the HTML source code. Use this with caution and only do so if you are familiar with HTML.
