You may want to add more images to your website. Do this tastefully and with attention to detail.

If you are up for it we recommend learning to edit your images to make them look great. Once you have a handle on editing copy and adding pages then you can work on images, there is a small learning curve but there are plenty of easy to use image editing programs to help you on your way.

Some images you have on your computer may be too large to use on your website pages and will take a long time to load if you use them. You can easily use many image editing programs to adjust file size and proportion of photos. Generally any software that came with your digital camera will be great. We suggest a free program called Picasa. Click here to download and install it.  - FREE!

Some technical info about web images:

File Size
Small file size is good, but don't compromise on image clarity. Anything under 45kb is great, around 10Kb is best.

Resolution
Image resolution (the number of pixels per inch) is best at 72dpi. You can reduce images to this resolution safely. This is the best way to reduce the file size of an image. Most programs will have a "save for web" or "screen" option - use this setting to get the best results. It is print images that need high resolution.

Shapes
Be sure to crop off unnecessary space around images, like busy backgrounds, too much sky or foreground. Use bright and inviting images. Crop the image to suit the space it is going in, if you can work out the measurements in pixels even better.
